On the 14^th of April, Mr. Serge Harry, Chairman & CEO of BlueNext Environment Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “BlueNext”) and his delegation visited China Forestry Exchange (CFEX). Deputy President Mr. Tian Chuan and Chairman’s International Assistant Mr. Charles Lee of CFEX extended their warmest welcome to the delegation.

Mr. Tian Chuan introduced the unique equity characteristics of China’s forestry lands, the forestry property system reformation in China, as well as the compelling advantages of CFEX, which was endowed by the Central Government as the only authorized forestry exchange platform in China. Mr. Serge Harry briefed BlueNext as a world leading environmental trading exchange founded by NYSE Euronext and Caisse des Depots based in France, and achievements it has got since establishing the cooperation partner relationship with Beijing Environment Exchange (CBEEX), specially stressed the “Panda Standard” which was initiated and promoted at UNFCCC COP15 conference in Copenhagen by both CBEEX and BlueNext. Panda Standard is the first voluntary standard specifically created for the Chinese market, and achieved wide recognition and appraise in the international world.  

Mr. Serge Harry expressed his interest in collaborating with CFEX on forestry carbon-sink trade and other related activities. Mr. Tian Chuan emphasized that CFEX will further develop its current platform resources, make full use of its industrial advantages and market-oriented significance to promote Panda Standard’s integrity and popularity with the leading environmental organizations worldwide.

At the ending, both parties achieved the common consensus for the future cooperation and further development in forestry industry.
